Basically it’s a Contextual backlink is a backlink with a keyword anchor text, usuallyin a article pointing back to your site. These types of backlinks are harder to get becausethey are in a article, and the higher the page PR it sits on the more link juice to your site.

With the recent Google Panda updates Google rates contextual links highly and giving more weight to these types of links.
